last month i was switched to a bipap machine the settings are 16-20, which seems like a great deal of air pressure to me, here is my question, are all masks made to handle whatever pressure you put to them? or do some mask's handle higher pressure better than others? any help on this would be great thanks for your input.

Masks are designed to work at any pressure...some do a better job than others.

It's an individual thing. Masks are designed to work up to the BIPAP max pressure of 25. What problems are you having with your current mask?

PAP Mask: Bleep/DreamPort nasal mask
PAP Machine: ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her
Humidifier: ResMed AirSense 10
Pressure Setting: Depends on the machine as I actually have more than one

I would look at the Respironics DreamWear full face mask. It's made along the lines of the Amara View but it's much easier to get and keep the seal as it has a smaller footprint on the face and the hose is on top and out of the way.

Either that or the ResMed AirFit F30 full face mask.
