I am new to the CPAP world, and A new owner of a Resmed 10 Auto.

I accidently overfilled the water chamber by a tad and when I turned it on it started gurgling (h2o in the hose).. I turned it off and empty some of the water out of the humidifier tank and drained the hose and mask ( not much water, a few drops ). My question is, do I need to let my machine dry out? Could I have damaged it? It seems like this is a situation that could easily happen.

I am sure a more experienced member will chime in here shortly, but my understanding is that you should be fine with what you did because the humidifier is "downstream" of your machine. So the humidity is added to the air just before it goes into the hose.

So long as the water did not spill out of the humidifier tank, you should be fine to use the machine right away after removing the excess water from the tank.

You're fine. No need to dry something that's going to be damp in normal usage.

how to post:

PAP Mask: ResMed AirFit P10 or DreamWear Gel nasal pillows
PAP Machine: ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her
Humidifier: ResMed AirSense 10
Pressure Setting: Depends on the machine as I actually have more than one

Not a big deal. No need to do anything other than what you have done and no need to let anything dry out.

I used to do it all the time with the S9 model but only rarely with the AirSense model.
