Oh Jason you were impressing me until ... you blocked the vent on the nasal cushion. That reduction in air flow is partially responsible for the lower pressure drop. Also, the extra leak introduced by breaking the seal on the FFM helped increase the pressure drop for that mask.

You reduced the flow which reduces the drop across the restriction.

Now the way to answer the pressure drop question is: if the FFM has more venting than the cushion then it will have more pressure dropped with a pinched tube.

Unfortunately the proper way to test would be to glue a port into a hole put into both masks downstream from the obstruction.
