Hi all,

First sorry for my english, i am from Romania!

I have tryed 2 APAP Machines (1 month each) with the same setings : Level 6 Ramp for 45 min and 8 to 12 level APAP Mode.

With the Resmed machine i have in the first month a average 4.5 AHI but with the DeVilbiss machine in the second month i have a average of 8 AHI.

The mask is the same and its new and no problem with leakage.

Can you tell me why is so much diference ?

The Resmed simply works better, it's got one of, if not the best auto algorithm on the market.

PAP Mask: Bleep/DreamPort nasal mask
PAP Machine: ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her
Humidifier: ResMed AirSense 10
Pressure Setting: Depends on the machine as I actually have more than one

Online
Different machines have difference auto adjusting algorithms and slightly different criteria for event classification which drives each algorithm.

Buy the ResMed and be done with it.
I have used both the ResMed and Respironics auto adjusting mode machines and you will end up with numbers from the Respironics like you had with the Devilbiss if you use the same settings.
ResMed is just more responsive....you can get the same results but you will need more minimum pressure all night with either the Devilbiss or Respironics.

What Pugsy said... is correct.
