When I was first diagnosed they gave me the number of 33...I expect this was 33 episodes an hour or that's what I thought. I've used my cpap for a couple of years but now I have a new one where I can use the memory card and plug the information into sleepy head. I've used it now for two months and the AHI ranges from 0 to 2.35. Am I reading or interpreting this information correctly? Did I really go from 33 AHI to as little as 0?

Yes, that is what effective therapy can do. Hold the airway open so only a rare random event sneaks past the defenses.
Mine was 53 per hour during the sleep study but I average less than 2.0 and sometimes even a 0.0 per the reports.

The machine is doing its job...preventing the apnea events or airway collapses.
Optimal therapy will do that for you.

I always wondered how I could get the 0.0 nights. Usually 1-3. Still haven't figured it out.
