Have members been satisfied with their results from a Watch-Pat sleep study?

PAP Mask: Practically tried them all.
PAP Machine: Use Phillips Respironics System One APAP with Aflex for mask testing
Humidifier: None
Pressure Setting: When testing, I use APAP with a range of 5-10

I had a friend just do one. I used him as a test patient when I was setting up my home sleep testing business.

He had the two studies about a year apart, mine first which is a Type 2. He had the Watch PAT after gaining weight and having some concerns with snoring and feeling sleepy.

The reason that he had the Watch PAT (through Kaiser) is because he was positive for OSA with and AHI of just over 10 with my setup. The Watch PAT found him to have an AHI Of 3. "something." Two very different outcomes. Thats the only comparative study that I have and the data is a year apart. Take it for what you will.

He was happy because the lack of diagnosis meant that he didn't have to wear CPAP. He's still tired during the day though.

I initially bought a Contec CMS50F Wrist-worn Pulse Oximeter on Amazon and slept one night with it and it showed ample evidence of desaturation events. I later had a WatchPat at home test and the results AHI of 17.9 corresponded very well with the recording oximeter. I'm now awaiting notification that my DME has time to get me started with a CPAP device.
