I have been a dreamwear Nasal mask user for some time now and love it with one exception. The headgear slipping up the back of my head during the night.
I started to try out other masks as this was getting very annoying, but Stop The Press!! They have come out with new headgear.
Called the Dreamwear headgear with arms.
I've been using this for 4 nights now and couldn't be more happy.
The headgear stays in place all night!!!
This new gear has arms that slant downwards and the strap positions down lower.
Very comfortable, no morning marks. Another thing I like is the way the gear attaches to the frame. Can easily unhook it and wash the mask without having to re adjust the strap every time.
Well done Philips!!

I just ran across this new headgear on CheapCpapSupplies and was wondering if it was any good. So I came over to this forum and found your post. Thanks for your evaluation. Based on that I ordered one today (using the discount code from this forum :D ). I'll post my comments on here after mine arrives and I use it for a while.

Well it's just over 2 months since I added the headgear with arms. For me this just turned a great mask into the perfect one for me!

I've been using this headgear with arms now for a little over a week. It's a big improvement over the older style. Mask stays put better and I can even sleep on my side or stomach without air leaks.

Ditto for me. Working great! Already love the dreamwear nasal cushion but same as above. Stays put, not too tight and just comfortable. Last night my AHI was 0.

A great improvement that is reflected in fewer Large Leaks. Now if only the fabric part can be purchased by itself...

Really. I was just going to ask about sleeping on my side with the dreamware.

The Dreamware headgear is designed such that air flows through both sides of the frame. If you roll on your side and pinch one side closed, air will still flow to the nasal pillows/cushion on the other side. The headgear with arms refers to the strap that holds to the back of your head. The original strap did not work so well for those with smaller heads like me; it tended to slide upwards and cause leaks. The "with arms" replacement strap falls lower on the back of the head and holds better for some people. I have used a CPAP since September of 1988 and find the Dreamware system to be the best for me so far. Of course, YMMV...

I've been using the dreamware and I like it alot. I find my cpap shutting off after a period of time when I lay on my side. The mask is not leaking. I thought it was because one side was being pinched.

I have not experienced any shutdowns (except for power loss) of my Aircurve 10. Maybe it is a "feature" of your machine.

You know what a couple nights ago, I woke up at like 3am and the power went out. I think that is what happened. Since then I have slept on my side no problem.

Yeah, a power loss will get you attention. Fortunately DreamWear (and all others I have used) have ports that allow you to breathe in the event of power loss.
