PAP Mask: res med air touch F20
PAP Machine: airsense 10 autos with humidifier
Pressure Setting: 7-13

I received an Aircurve 10 vauto yesterday. Long story, neighbor's husband died right after purchasing it. Only 100 hours.
I would like to use it for spare and travel.
Can it be set up to accommodate same functions as my airsense 10 auto?
I don't quite understand the Inspiratory expiratory settings.
Looked at the manuals but still not sure how to set it up.
Airsense settings:
ramp auto
EPR 2 ramp only
9-15 pressure (just raised)
auto climate
Thank you in advance.
Most links go to the airsense 10.
Only been using the airsense 10 for a week and already sleeping so much better.

PAP Mask: Bleep/DreamPort nasal mask
PAP Machine: ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her
Humidifier: ResMed AirSense 10
Pressure Setting: Depends on the machine as I actually have more than one

EPR is essentially PS or Pressure Support but how they go about it differs.
EPR reduces inhale so that exhale is lower.
PS increases exhale so that inhale is higher.
EPR/PS is nothing more than the difference between inhale and exhale.

I don't think there is an option for using Pressure Support only during ramp with the AirCurve 10 VAuto.

For the settings on the AirCurve....think of EPAP as the minimum setting like you have the 9 at on the AirSense.
IPAP max would be like the max setting on your AirSense...so 15
PS set to 0...

If you want to use EPR to get the same sensation as the AutoSet minimum of 9 with EPR of 2 ...that gives you 9 inhale and 7 exhale...so on the AirCurve machine you would set EPAP 7 and PS of 2...that way you have 7 on exhale and 9 on inhale.

OK
Thank you, I will study this until I understand what you are saying.
Rather than just set it, I want to learn why.
It made sense until I tried to explain it to my wife. Then I got confused.
Luckily my airsense works great while I figure this out.

Unless you find you need to, just leave all the 'custom' tweak things set at their defaults.. (TiMin, TiMax, trigger, cycle)

MinEPAP 9, MaxIPAP 15, PS 0
