So years ago I had surgery on my epiglottis to stop snoring. Worked for a short time, later a sleep study showed I needed a CPAP but when I use pillows or a full mask, the preferred route for the air is through my mouth, and that wreaks havoc. I was watching some reviews of the person who sponsors this forum and I heard him talk about some alternatives. I did try a chin strap but apparently I have a VERY strong chin and I end up with welded mouth (the mouth is so dried together it takes 20 minutes of trickling water into my mouth to loosen it up). So I am hoping to find out about some great ideas to stop this. I currently have to tape my mouth shut with epiderm tape, and that is true in pillow or full mask. If there is a mouth piece or something else I would love to know about it! Thanks!
