I have had a cpap for a full month now. When the air was set on 12 with a ramp, my AHI was always around 1- 1.5 Now that its on Auto its always around 4-6. My doctor said that Auto is still better for me then a continues hard steam of air? For some reason that doesn't seem right to me.. any ideas?

What is your auto range set to? You may want to try a narrow range. Like if you had a 12 CPAP before, maybe try 10-14?

Thanks for getting back to me. I don't believe that I have the option to do that? I think that the place that I got it from has to have a doctor call them to change it?

It's your therapy...take charge of it and make your own changes..it takes seconds. What machine are you using and what is the pressure setting?

Fill out your profile here. Read your detailed results with Sleepyhead software. Get into the Clinician Menu on your machine and start tweaking. Rinse, repeat until you are looking good, asking for advice and posting screenshots along the way as necessary.
